Reece vs. Rick Simpleton  "Swapping Dreams"

Reece-It’s still hard to see.  The room is filled with projections.  It was a sharp turn back there, and if they didn’t grasp the context of the documentals two acts ago, now they’ve got it.  I’m the child.  Cassie is the single adult, and Veronica is the mother.  We’ve all faced a trap or two, and we’ve all left it face down.  From here, I grow up quickly.

Swapping Dreams

I still remember her,
Her dreams,
They’re brutal.

She still recalls me,
My visions,
They’re crucial.

Sometimes they’re one and the same,
Other times they're two.

Her cheekbones are high,
Her forehead hard,
Her mouth glued shut,
For the most part.

I’m outspoken,
And I hide my cheekbones behind a smile.

When she looks at herself in the mirror,
She quivers,
And she knows she doesn’t belong there.

I stare,
She stares back,
It’s the promise in me that chills her,
And it’s the weakness in her that tempers me.

I carry her in my purse,
Never had the guts to dispose of her,
While she takes me behind the curtain,
And tries to pick my brain.

We’re more than two worlds apart,
There’s centuries between us,
But we get together over chocolate.

I don’t talk to her,
I save my words.

She still cries to me,
I bottle her words.

From where I’m standing,
I know she’s dying,
And from where she’s standing,
She can tell that I’m dead.

There’s no cross in the path,
There’s no way to meet.

Yet the color on the wall in front of me,
Tells me,
At her start she saw my end,
And at my end I’ll give her a start.

She’ll dream of me,
And I would have dreamt of her,
And we’ll dance all night long,
Centuries apart.

Rick- The crowd has settled down.  The climax went before me.  I'm a bit of a resolution.  I didn't want to read Reece's Documental.  I wanted to have clear and personal thoughts.  I saw a few people file out.  It's no big deal.  I'm an Act who has had a lot of time to develop.

Swapping Dreams

One minute she was dancing in my dream.
The next minute,
She was living it,
And rewriting it.

One year I couldn't recognize the dream.
The next year,
It had stripped off all her antics,
And was returning to me.

A dream,
Is not a thing you exchange,
Nor is it,
A thing you just take back.

Either it's yours,
Or it's hers,
Either it has your breath print,
Or your birth mark.

I didn't whimper when she left,
Nor did I try to dry her tears,
There's a call for the screwed over,
To stand up strait.

I didn't close my office door,
I didn't play the radio,
There's a moment for the screwed over...
And it comes with a straight face.

If any two dreams are alike,
They mingle,
And when any two dreams are broken,
They remain single.

A dream,
Is not a thing you exchange,
Nor is it,
A thing you just take back.

Either it's yours,
Or it's hers,
Either it has your breath print,
Or your birth mark.

It’s there and it’s meant to be there.  My life is the tiny branch, but my breath remains a set of wings… again, one tiny and one large.  You should see it flying through the sky; my breath.  If you can capture the image, you’ll say it’s not going that far.  Ye
