The Spoiler Alert After Party!

Thanks for joining the Uproar with Grace Call  Communications, LLC!

It's the "Spoiler Alert After Party" formally known as 'Dear Reader'.  It may seem bigger than you've ever recalled and you might ask "why?"... well, The Decks and the Road Novel Series has come to an end and "We're Ready to Become a Serial Daytime Drama... but before we dream up what's next; let's look at "What just happened".

(Click on the Image to open a clearer view.)
It was the first graphic square of the series.  I didn't know exactly what it would morph into.  Next it was onto picking 8 cards from a standard Deck of Cards.  What would these eight cards determine?  They would determine the number and the suite that each member of the Freeborn cast would represent.

Here are just two of those numbers.  The dynamic #9 represents Universal Love, Eternity, Destiny, and Soul-Mission.  The number 2 represents Union and Peace, Calm and Balance.

But what about those card suites?  Did you know?...The symbols on the cards indicates different social classes? Like the club symbol that represents the peasants.  Now I bet you'll like to know which of the characters may have fallen into this social class, but there are some Spoilers that will remain in the DECK.

Then it evolved into this Epic Square for Book 1, Freeborn.  And do you know... that I had a change of "heart" and that The Entire Novel Series can still be read here on the Blog?

If you're new to the series or started in the middle, I'll share a snapshot of a few of the lines from the book's Introduction.

"The Freeborn is nobody's game.  It foreknows all the places where it will be bruised.  It's already made melodies to accompany its scars.  There's no cut or fall that comes unannounced, but there are times the Freeborn pretends to forget what's to come.  All of this can be taken for a calamity, but the Freeborn gets a whisper at the start of every sunrise, that says, "Just Keep Going."

I also wrote this intro not fully knowing all that would be born out of it.  To see traces of this statement alive in book 3 and in more than one character was a relief and a breath of fresh air.  I left the context open, and because I did, time surely filled the gaps.

Then came another development.  The After-Six!!  Can I say that I really enjoyed designing this gems.  And little did I know they would encapsulate what I believe is the truth about each of these books that are within themselves very unique.  By the design, you will discover that Book 1 was really a diamond, Book 2 was a Trumpet of sorts, and Book 3 was all Heart!!

But why did choose this After-Six out of seventeen?  The series sought to show why, and only toward the end did we begin to really see the hand of the wicked, which I separated from the hand of the ignorant and/or oppressed.  Also if we're looking at book 3 Renegotiating Kaylin, we see another one of Freeborn's After-Six picks highlighted.

Early on on November 12th, 2017 we brought to you the scripture "Guard your heart for everything you do flows from it" from Proverbs 4:23 and with that I tried to play a trick on the audience by suggesting that we would see "Kaylin's Wrath" but as the image above tells... you will see a distinction between the wicked and the righteous.

Right from it's Dedication, readers should have known it would be deep, and the character Mr. Wells (a passerby in book 1) took us deep.  It was the first time since the series had begun that I shared any of my thoughts and feelings regarding my homelessness, and in three chapters Mr. Wells gave unique perspective from the exact seat.

From Erased dedication, "This book is forever dedicated to those whose light presents for them more obstacles than opportunities."
I wanted to show that there are more than one, or two, or three ways to end up homeless without departing from the framework I had in mind.  For those who read the book, you know Mr. Wells' character and story is one of a kind.  Pick up his journals now on the Blog in Erased Chapters 5, 10, and 16!

Another Stand Out Character:

He won the Adam Award!  In Freeborn, we saw Taye become Tayeton!  For fans of my very first novel Renegotiating Kayla, the realization that Tayeton was Taye probably meant some dislike right up front, but Tayeton joined The Decks and the Road Novel Series destined to be loved.  About him, the After-Six was selected, "The Lord himself will push them out... and you will take possession of their land.
Joshua 23:5

In the series we see that Tayeton is also destined to continue the Fisher Family Line although he is HIV Positive.  Though Tayeton is not a Gatekeeper or a Shepherd we see that he personifies the term Fisher as he goes on to become the Head of Marketing and Acquisitions at Simpeton and Fisher.

Speaking of Shepherds and Simpletons!  Not "if" but "when" The Decks and the Road goes on to become a Serial Daytime Drama... season 1 will begin with the two Hierarchial Families and bring the lives of the two heads to the forefront.

Unlike the book which first takes you into the lives of the two main characters Tayeton Fisher and Kayla Singletary, my proposal for the Drama Series will begin with giving the viewers a full scope of the Shepherd Family and the Simpleton Family.

The Decks and the Road Novel Series lays the Foundation for the two families and the Characters "Vance Shepherd" and "Cassandra Simpleton" can be further understood in The VCR Diaries 1 and 2. (The VCR Diaries 2 begins Summer 2019)

Let's talk about RK-2019!!!!  It was the short hand for Renegotiating Kaylin.  The book not only connected the dots in the series and brought the statement "You have not seen your life until you've seen a circle" into focus, but it brought all 5 of my books to an Epic Finale and presented a Beautiful New Beginning.   So maybe after the circle comes a strait line, because I can see next so clearly.

The book began with a bang!  The introduction set a clear tone, and the words "Thirty-eight, forty-three, forty-five is a pot; an encasement from which I shall break free." will go on to become the mantra for weight loss transformations using the personal measurements I collected back in 2005 to kick off Kaylin's weight loss journey.

In the novel, we also saw Kaylin open the road to healing and understanding when she took the risky ride to Lynchwire Dr.  "Beauty Born at a Roundabout"
words taken from book 1's intro... and words that proved to be true again in Renegotiating Kaylin and in Kaylin's search for understanding.  Chapter 28 of RK-2019 is one that belongs to Tayeton, Kaylin's brother... and in it we learn that Kaylin's longing to unlock some of the mysteries found in her mother's journals pays a great benefit to Tayeton, and gives some clarity to the occurrences he faces throughout the novel series.

Now we know the definition of "Beauty Born at a Roundabout" is as it was written... "A beauty that can be easily seen, but not understood."  Thus Kaylin will probably never know what she did for her brother.

Scripture says, "The Universe was formed at God's command; what is seen was not made out of what was visible."  Throughout the Novel Series we've depicted the character with small comic avatars, and it's one of the reasons why the book doesn't not go into long in depth character descriptions.  Another reason is because... "It's just not how I like to write" but in RK-2019 I did not create an avatar for Kaylin, which sparked the graphic square "Has Anybody Seen Kaylin?"

The question later becomes a chapter title and for a different set of reasons, but I find it quite interesting because Kaylin undergoes a physical transformation... losing 55lbs. over the course of the book.  Looking at the scripture above, and thinking about the character Kaylin goes on to be... I like the idea even more.  It's like... "You don't know who I am or how I got here.  I can tell you about it.  But don't you assume."

Dilemma for Dilemma's sake??  No Way!!  The Decks and the Road Novel Series sought to bring volume to certain voices (classes, origins, ages, and biographies), and we pronounced awards where we found it applicable or I should say notable. Here are some of the voices that will be remembered...

"I'd heard the name Grace several times.  That was all it was; a suitable name.  A beautiful one actually, but into it I read nothing.  Then all of a sudden when I walked out those doors and left all that steel and metal behind, into it I read much."
-Veronica Wells

It's already been documented that the word "Road" in The Decks and the Road Novel Series represent "The Lord's Way" and the Decks are I guess you can call it the Dilemmas.   The entire series was a tug of war between the two, and the dividing line is the Heart.  Yes, the "Heart".  The heart has an ear.  It has a voice... And it has a way.
